Message To Venus: 24-0 In Puerto Rico, International Day of Non-Violence

On October 2nd 2012, members of the Puerto Rico-via-Miami rock band Message To Venus will be performing at 24-0, an event organized in honor of the International Day of Non-Violence, in the goal of stopping all violence in Puerto Rico for 24 hours.

“Crime here is on the rise, it’s crazy,” comments M2V vocalist Jandre Nadal. “In addition to street gang violence there is familial violence and more… it needs to stop. As Puerto Ricans we believe in non-violence, so when the event organizers contacted us to participate, we agreed immediately.”

M2V‘s performance will take place on October 2nd at 6:15 PM at Parque Luis Muñoz Rivera in San Juan, PR.

More info on 24-0 can be found via the event’s official website, http://facebook.com/240PuertoRico, or by watching this video trailer (Spanish-language):

“JuanMa (M2V drummer) and I will be performing a 4-song acoustic set. We’ll be playing three of our originals plus a cover of Bob Marley‘s “Three Little Birds”, continues Nadal. “We’re just aiming to peacefully contribute to the event in whatever way we can.”
